Piaa Super Silicone Wiper Blade 18-Inch (450mm) — Frameless, Quiet, Streak-Free Performance

PIAA 95045 Super Silicone Wiper Blade (18-inch) is a frameless, silicone-coated windshield wiper engineered to deliver whisper-quiet, streak-free wiping and improved water beading for clearer visibility in varied weather.

Replacing worn wiper blades with the PIAA Super Silicone 95045 brings a modern silicone wiping edge to your vehicle. Unlike traditional rubber, the active silicone coating beads water, sheds grime and resists deterioration from sun, salt and cold. This 18-inch (450mm) blade uses a pressure-point, frameless design and multiple adapters for broad compatibility with many vehicle wiper arms.

How does this blade improve visibility compared to standard rubber wipers?

The silicone-infused wiping element repels water into smaller beads that roll off the glass faster, reducing smear and improving sightlines. The continuous silicone edge maintains contact along the windshield for consistent clearing across its length.

• Silicone coating enhances water beading and runoff.
• Frameless pressure-point architecture keeps even pressure distribution.
• Cleaner, streak-minimized wipe for clearer vision in rain.

Will installation fit my car and how simple is it to mount?

PIAA includes several common adapters and a visual guide so the 95045 fits many wiper arm types without specialty tools. The frameless, single-piece design reduces installation steps: choose the correct adapter, snap the blade onto the arm and ensure a secure lock.

• Multiple adapters included to match various arm connectors.
• Visual instructions for straightforward, tool-free fitting.
• Compact frame-less blade simplifies alignment and attachment.

How durable is the PIAA Super Silicone blade across seasons?

Silicone resists UV, ozone and temperature extremes better than many conventional rubbers, slowing cracking and hardening that shortens blade life. The design is engineered to perform year-round, shedding light snow and resisting ice buildup more effectively than plain rubber edges.

• Silicone compound resists sun and ozone degradation.
• Maintains flexibility in cold weather for reliable wiping.
• Less prone to glazing and edge deterioration over time.

What can I expect in terms of noise and driving comfort?

PIAA’s silicone formulation and frameless construction are optimized for low-friction movement, producing quieter operation than many conventional blades. The result is reduced squeak and chatter so the blade glides smoothly across wet glass.

• Active silicone reduces friction for near-silent wiping.
• Even pressure minimizes skipping and chatter on the windshield.
• Consistent performance helps reduce driver distraction in rain.

Who is this for? The PIAA 95045 Super Silicone 18-inch blade suits drivers who want an upgrade from stock rubber blades—those seeking longer-lasting, quieter wiping and improved water shedding in wet or mixed winter conditions. It's a practical choice for commuters, rideshare drivers and anyone who values clear vision and low-maintenance performance without specialized tooling.
