PRISMATIC POWDERS Super Chrome Plus polyurethane powder coating 1 lb — ultra-bright chrome finish, durable metallic reflectivity

Prismatic Powders Super Chrome Plus is a highly reflective chrome-look polyurethane powder coating sold in a 1 lb container for durable, bright metallic finishes.

Designed for metal and compatible substrates, Super Chrome Plus recreates a mirror-like chrome appearance with the toughness of a polyurethane formulation. This one-pound pack gives builders, fabricators, and finishers a compact supply for repair, prototype, or specialty projects. It pairs well with proper surface preparation and suitable primers to achieve peak reflectivity and adhesion.

What visual result can I expect from this powder?

You’ll get an ultra-bright, chrome-like surface with strong light reflection and metallic depth. The polyurethane base provides a smooth, lustrous finish that mimics plated surfaces when applied correctly.

• High reflectivity for a mirror-style appearance
• Metallic pigments formulated for depth and clarity
• Smooth finish that reduces orange peel when cured properly
• Best results over recommended primers or conductive substrates

How is Super Chrome Plus applied and cured?

Apply using a standard powder coating gun following normal electrostatic procedures; ensure even film buildup to avoid flaws. Cure times and temperatures depend on part mass and oven uniformity—follow manufacturer curing guidelines for polyurethane powders.

• Electrostatic spray application recommended for uniform coat
• Typical bake schedule requires a controlled oven and specified time/temperature
• Thin, even coats minimize runs and ensure reflective quality
• Use suitable primers or conductive layers on non-metal substrates

What performance and protection does this polyurethane powder offer?

Super Chrome Plus combines cosmetic appeal with polyurethane durability. While focused on appearance, it still offers abrasion resistance and long-lasting adhesion when properly cured and applied.

• Polyurethane chemistry provides improved toughness versus decorative flakes
• Resistant to chipping and light abrasion in normal indoor/outdoor conditions
• Stable color and reflectivity when cured under recommended conditions
• Requires proper surface prep to achieve full protective benefits

How much coverage will one pound provide and what substrates suit it?

A 1 lb quantity is intended for touch-ups, small components, or trial runs rather than full-scale production. It adheres best to prepared metal, plated surfaces, and substrates primed with conductive or bonding primers.

• Coverage depends on application thickness; a small quantity covers limited parts
• Ideal for repair work, prototypes, accents, and sample panels
• Works best on steel, aluminum, and properly primed non-ferrous metals
• Not typically sprayed directly onto unprepared plastics without proper primers

Who is this for? Prismatic Powders Super Chrome Plus in a 1 lb size is aimed at finishers, fabricators, custom builders, and hobbyists who need a high-reflectivity chrome-like finish for small runs, repairs, or test panels. It’s suitable for professionals seeking a decorative, durable metallic look and for enthusiasts experimenting with premium powder finishes. Ensure you follow recommended application and curing practices for optimal results.
