PRISMATIC POWDERS High Gloss Black Polyester Powder Coating, 1 lb — Mirror-like Finish & Excellent Flow

PRISMATIC POWDERS High Gloss Black is a premium polyester powder coating that delivers a deep, mirror‑like true black finish with exceptional flow and high gloss in a 1 lb size.

This 1 lb tin of PRISMATIC POWDERS High Gloss Black polyester powder coating is formulated for professionals and serious DIYers who need a durable, glassy black surface without compromising ease of use. Engineered for excellent flow‑out and a consistent high‑gloss appearance, it’s suitable for metal parts, automotive components, furniture, and decorative hardware where a true black, reflective finish is desired.

What visual results can I expect from this powder coating?

You’ll get a deep, mirror‑like black surface with an even, high‑gloss appearance and minimal orange peel when applied correctly. The formulation promotes superior flow during curing to reduce texture and deliver a smooth, reflective coating.

• High gloss, true black finish with strong color depth
• Excellent flow‑out reduces surface texture and imperfections
• Uniform appearance across panels and complex shapes

How should I apply and cure the 1 lb polyester powder?

Apply using a standard powder coating spray gun on properly prepared metal surfaces; ensure parts are clean, dry, and free of oils or rust. Cure according to manufacturer temperature and time recommendations for polyester powders to achieve full gloss and mechanical properties.

• Use electrostatic spray equipment for even deposition
• Conveyor or batch curing — follow polyester cure profile for best results
• Surface prep: clean, degrease, and remove corrosion for adhesion

Will this powder withstand everyday wear and outdoor conditions?

Polyester powder systems like this one are designed for good UV and weather resistance when properly applied and cured. While durable, longevity depends on environmental exposure and part design; for extreme outdoor or chemical environments, consider additional topcoats or specialized chemistries.

• Good weather and color stability typical of polyester powders
• Resists chipping and abrasion under normal use
• Performance improves with correct film thickness and cure

How much area will 1 lb cover and how do I estimate usage?

Coverage varies with part geometry and desired film thickness, but 1 lb typically covers a small batch of components or touch‑up needs. Calculate based on desired dry film thickness (DFT) and surface area to determine exact quantity for larger projects.

• Coverage depends on DFT — higher thickness uses more powder
• 1 lb is ideal for sample runs, touch‑ups, or small parts
• Measure surface area and plan extra for overspray losses

Who this is for: PRISMATIC POWDERS High Gloss Black (1 lb) fits the needs of body shops, restoration specialists, custom fabricators, and hobbyists who want a true black, mirror‑like finish without sacrificing ease of application. It’s a practical choice for anyone finishing metal parts, decorative items, or automotive pieces where a high‑gloss aesthetic and consistent results matter.
