The RAM MOUNTS Tough-Claw Medium Clamp is a heavy-duty, versatile rail mount with an integrated 1.5" C-size rubber ball that secures phones, tablets, cameras and accessories to round, square, or irregular bars.

Built for work trucks, boats, bikes, and industrial equipment, this medium Tough-Claw model grips tubing from 1" to 1.875" outer diameter using replaceable rubber pads and stainless-steel hardware. The included 1.5" C-size rubber ball lets you attach any RAM arm or double-socket accessory, creating a reliable modular mounting system that resists vibration, corrosion, and harsh conditions.

How does the clamp attach to different rail shapes and sizes?

The Tough-Claw features a jaw profile and clamp bolt that adapt to round, square, and odd-shaped rails between 1" and 1.875" OD. Rubber contact pads conform to the surface to increase friction while protecting finishes, and the clamp tightens quickly for fast installation or repositioning.

• Clamps rails 1.0"–1.875" outer diameter
• Rubber pads for grip and surface protection
• Threaded stainless-steel bolt for secure tightening
• Quick-release style for easy repositioning

What accessories can I mount on the included 1.5" C-size ball base?

The built-in 1.5" C-size rubber ball is the standard RAM connector that mates with double-socket arms, cradles, camera mounts, rod holders, and other RAM accessories. This makes the Tough-Claw an adaptable foundation for many devices and work setups.

• Pairs with RAM double-socket arms and cradles
• Works with phone and tablet holders sized for 1.5" C balls
• Accepts camera and accessory mounts via ball-and-socket interface
• Swap or reconfigure accessories without changing the base
