RVGUARD RV Skylight Replacement 18" x 26" Smoke Polycarbonate Dome with UV Protection and Screws

RVGUARD 18" x 26" smoke polycarbonate skylight replacement — a universal, UV-blocking RV roof dome that fits standard 14" x 22" openings and includes mounting screws.

Upgrade a worn or damaged RV skylight with a durable, ready-to-install polycarbonate dome designed for long-term clarity and weather resistance. This 18" x 26" outer-dimension skylight is supplied in a smoke tint that transmits about 30% of incoming light, helping control brightness and interior heat while maintaining an open, airy feel. The package includes the M4*25 screws needed for mounting so you can replace the dome without searching for fasteners.

How does this skylight fit my RV roof opening?

This RVGUARD dome is made to work with the most common-sized roof cutouts. The 18" x 26" outer dimension is engineered to match industry-standard 14" x 22" internal openings, so it serves as a direct replacement for many OEM domes and aftermarket frames.

• Outer dimensions: 18" x 26" x 4" depth for common compatibility.
• Designed to align with standard 14" x 22" roof openings.
• Includes M4*25 screws so you have the correct fasteners at install time.
• Works with most existing skylight frames and housings when mounted properly.

What materials and protection does it provide?

Constructed from premium polycarbonate, this skylight offers impact resistance and longevity compared with standard acrylics. The material resists hail and wind-driven debris better than many alternatives and is engineered to resist UV damage that causes yellowing and material breakdown.

• Premium polycarbonate for high tensile strength and impact resistance.
• 100% UV-blocking performance to reduce interior fading and heat buildup.
• Weather-resistant finish with up to 10 years of anti-aging clarity.
• Avoid acid-based adhesives; use compatible sealants to protect the dome material.

How will the smoke tint affect interior light and privacy?

The smoke version transmits approximately 30% of daylight, striking a balance between natural illumination and glare control. It softens direct sun while preserving outward visibility and adds a level of privacy that can be helpful in campgrounds or roadside stops.

• Smoke tint: ~30% light transmission for reduced glare and heat.
• Maintains outward view while offering more privacy than clear domes.
• Helps lower interior brightness without full darkening like opaque covers.
• Choice of tints available if you prefer lighter or darker transmission levels.

How easy is installation and what should I avoid?

Installation is straightforward for someone comfortable with basic RV maintenance: remove the old dome, position the new skylight in the frame, and secure with the included screws. To protect the polycarbonate and ensure a lasting seal, use compatible non-acidic sealants and follow standard torque recommendations for small fasteners.

• Includes M4*25 screws so you won’t need extra fasteners.
• Replace old gasket and clean mating surfaces before mounting.
• Do not use acid-based adhesives or sealants; they can degrade the dome.
• Hand-tighten screws evenly to avoid stressing the polycarbonate.
