Sashco Clear Roof Sealant 1-Gallon — Ultra-Elastic Transparent Caulk, UV-Resistant

Sashco 14004 Clear Roof Sealant is a clear, ultra-elastic caulk designed to permanently stop and prevent roof leaks while staying flexible through temperature changes.

This transparent, elastomeric roof repair product bonds to many roofing surfaces and seals around vents, flashing, skylights and other rooftop fixtures without the ugly asphalt look. Formulated for long-lasting performance, it resists UV damage, water and mildew, remains paintable, and continues to flex rather than turning hard and brittle. It can be applied to wet surfaces and tolerates immediate exposure to rain or snow, making it useful for weather-prone repairs.

How does Sashco Clear Roof Sealant handle temperature and sun exposure?

The sealant is engineered to expand and contract with roofing materials so it won’t crack when temperatures shift. Its elastomeric chemistry maintains flexibility in cold and heat, while UV stabilizers reduce breakdown from sunlight, giving longer life than traditional asphalt mastics.

• Stays elastic — resists cracking during freeze/thaw cycles
• UV-resistant formulation for prolonged outdoor exposure
• Remains flexible in extreme temperatures, hot or cold

Can I apply this sealant in wet conditions or if rain is expected?

Sashco Clear Roof Sealant adheres to damp substrates and is rated to withstand immediate weather after application. That makes it practical for emergency fixes or when projects are interrupted by showers.

• Adheres to wet surfaces without losing bond strength
• Safe to leave exposed to rain or snow right after application
• Reduces need to wait for fully dry conditions, useful for urgent repairs

What surfaces and roof features can this sealant be used on?

The product bonds well to a wide range of roofing materials and details, providing a clear, discreet seal where you need it. It’s suitable for sealing around penetrations, flashings, gutters and more without the dark, tarry finish of asphalt-based products.

• Works on metal, shingles, flashing, vents, skylights and seal joints
• Ideal for detail work where a transparent finish is preferred
• Paintable once cured to match surrounding roofing if desired
