Stayfree SM Arnold Refinishing Spray Paint — Black 11 oz for Automotive Interiors & Trim, Fast-Dry Durable Finish

Stayfree SM Arnold Refinishing Spray Paint (Black, 11 oz) is a professional-grade aerosol coating made to restore and protect automotive interior and exterior surfaces with fast drying and long-lasting adhesion.

This spray is engineered for professionals and enthusiasts who need a reliable, color-correct finish on a wide variety of vehicle materials. It maintains original textures and grain while delivering fade-resistant color and a smooth appearance. The formula balances quick handling times with robust adhesion, so small restorations, trim refreshes, and full-detail projects stay efficient without sacrificing durability.

Which automotive surfaces can this spray paint be used on?

SM Arnold works across many substrates commonly found in cars, trucks, and motorcycles. It bonds well to treated plastics, metals, fabrics, and composite parts when applied under recommended conditions.

• Leather, vinyl and fabric upholstery touch-ups
• Plastic trim, ABS, polypropylene and PVC panels
• Metal pieces, painted surfaces, and fiberglass components
• Polycarbonate, acrylic, Lexan and recycled plastic parts

How quickly does it dry and when can I handle the part?

The coating becomes tack-free rapidly and achieves initial adhesion in minutes, enabling faster workflow in detailing and refinishing tasks. Dry times depend on temperature, humidity, and film thickness, so allow appropriate cure time for best results.

• Touch-dry in about 90 seconds at standard conditions (72°F, 50% RH)
• Initial adhesion typically within 10 minutes under the same conditions
• Final cure times extend with thicker coats or cooler, more humid environments

Will this paint alter the original texture or finish of the surface?

The formula is designed to preserve surface grain and texture, so refinished components retain their factory appearance rather than becoming smooth or plasticky. Multiple light coats help maintain texture while building even color coverage.

• Maintains factory grain and texture after application
• Best results achieved with thin, overlapping passes
• Can match or change original color without masking surface detail

What tools or prep improve adhesion on difficult plastics?

For low-energy plastics and challenging substrates, using an adhesion promoter or proper surface prep greatly increases bond strength and longevity. Follow standard cleaning, sanding, and promoter steps for the most reliable outcome.

• Use #66-001 Adhesion Promoter on TPO, PPO, polypropylene and similar plastics
• Clean degreased surfaces, scuff lightly, and remove dust before spraying
• Adjust the premium nozzle for vertical or horizontal spray patterns for uniform coverage

Who is this for: Stayfree SM Arnold 11 oz Black Refinishing Spray is suited to professional detailers, body-shop technicians, and car restoration enthusiasts who need a fast-drying, texture-preserving coating for interior trim, plastic components, and small exterior metal or composite parts. It fits projects where speed, color fidelity, and durable adhesion are priorities, and where compatibility with adhesion promotors and adjustable spray patterns helps achieve precise, professional finishes.
