Thetford Tank Blaster RV & Marine Tank Cleaner — 4 x 1.6 oz Packets, Enzymatic Micro-Foam for Black & Grey Holding Tanks

Thetford Tank Blaster is a concentrated, overnight level-sensor and tank cleaner formulated to dissolve waste, tissue and grease inside black, gray and portable holding tanks so you can dump and go.

Designed for RVs, boats and portable cassette systems, this two-in-one formula combines active enzymes with micro-foam action to improve contact with vertical tank walls and loosen compacted residues. Each box contains four single-use 1.6 oz packets that dissolve during an overnight soak, safely breaking down build-up without harming tank seals, plumbing or surfaces. Use when levels are off or odors persist to restore sensor accuracy and reduce clogs.

How does Tank Blaster clear stubborn tank build-up?

The enzymatic blend targets organic matter while micro-foam increases coverage along vertical surfaces, reaching areas ordinary liquids may miss. Over several hours the foam softens and lifts compacted tissue, grease and waste so the solids break apart and rinse away when you empty the tank.

• Active enzymes digest organic residues for easier flushing.
• Micro-foam expands to coat vertical walls and recesses.
• Single-use packets dissolve fully—no measuring required.
• Works overnight to minimize downtime and handling.

Will this product affect my RV or marine plumbing and seals?

Tank Blaster is formulated specifically to be safe for RV and marine holding systems, including seals, valves and standard plumbing components. It avoids harsh caustics and solvents that can degrade rubber and plastic, giving you cleaning power without compromising tank materials.

• Safe for common tank materials, seals and valves.
• No aggressive chemicals that cause rubber swelling or cracking.
• Suitable for black, gray and portable cassette tanks.
• Non-corrosive when used as directed for routine maintenance.

How do I use the 1.6 oz packets for best results?

Empty any loose debris, then add one packet to the tank along with the recommended amount of water—typically enough to cover the treated area—and allow it to sit overnight. In the morning, agitate if possible and flush the tank by dumping; repeat treatments for heavy build-up.

• Drop one packet into the tank and add water to submerge the foam action.
• Let sit for several hours or overnight for full enzymatic action.
• Dump and rinse; repeat if sensors still read inconsistently.
• Use periodically as preventive maintenance to keep sensors accurate.

How does Tank Blaster help with level sensor accuracy?

Sensor errors often come from encrusted deposits on tank walls that insulate or shield the probes. Tank Blaster removes that residue, restoring direct contact between the liquid and the sensor so readings return to normal and dumping decisions are reliable.

• Removes residues that interfere with probe and paddle sensors.
• Reduces false-high or false-low readings caused by build-up.
• Improves overall tank hygiene and reduces odor sources.
• Can decrease frequency of manual checks when used regularly.

Who is this for: Thetford Tank Blaster is intended for RV owners, boaters and anyone using portable cassette toilets who want a simple, effective overnight treatment to clean holding tanks and improve level-sensor performance. It’s useful for seasonal maintenance, prepping an RV for storage, troubleshooting inaccurate tank sensors, or restoring function after heavy use.
