Ummickl 12in x 48in Gold Adhesive Heat Shield Tape — Reflective Fiberglass, Peel-and-Stick

Ummickl's 12" x 48" gold adhesive heat shield is a reflective, adhesive-backed fiberglass tape designed to protect surfaces from intense radiant heat up to extremely high temperatures.

This adhesive heat wrap combines a reflective gold facing with a durable fiberglass core and a peel-and-stick backing to create an easy-to-apply thermal barrier. It’s sized to cover hoses, intake pipes, painted panels, plastic components and household areas that need protection from radiant heat. The sheet is large enough to trim to custom shapes and finished along the edges to resist fraying.

How will this heat tape protect automotive parts?

The reflective facing redirects radiant heat away from sensitive surfaces while the fiberglass layer resists high temperatures and mechanical wear. When applied to engine bays, intake pipes, or wiring looms it helps reduce heat soak and shields paint and plastics from heat damage.

• Reflective gold outer layer reduces radiant heat transfer
• Fiberglass core withstands prolonged high temperatures
• Adhesive backing holds the shield securely to pipes, panels and hoses
• Trim-to-fit dimensions let you cover custom components

Can I use this on household appliances and fixtures?

Yes — the tape is suitable for many home uses where radiant or conducted heat needs to be controlled. It can protect cabinet interiors near ovens, refrigerator panels, door jambs near heating elements, and utility lines that might be exposed to heat.

• Easy peel-and-stick application for quick installation
• Works on painted surfaces, metal, plastic and composite materials
• Cut to shape for corners, seams and awkward areas
• Finished edges reduce unraveling for longer life in household use

How do I apply and trim the Ummickl gold heat shield?

Measure the area, cut the sheet to the required shape with scissors or a utility knife, peel the backing and press firmly in place. Smooth from one side to the other to avoid air pockets; for curved surfaces wrap in overlapping layers so the adhesive maintains full contact.

• Cut with scissors or a sharp blade to any custom size
• Peel the backing and press with firm, even pressure
• Overlap slightly on curved parts for continuous protection
• Use isopropyl wipe for very oily surfaces to improve adhesion

What materials and wear resistance can I expect?

The product uses a glass fiber fabric core coated with a reflective gold facing and an adhesive composite on the reverse. This combination stands up to heat, oil, dirt and road grime, making it suitable for automotive and light industrial exposures without fraying at the cut edges.

• Glass fiber structure resists thermal breakdown and abrasion
• Gold reflective surface minimizes radiant heat exposure
• Adhesive backing resists loosening from vibration and moisture
• Resistant to oil, grease and common automotive contaminants
