VHT Caliper Paint Gloss Red 11 oz — High-Heat Ceramic-Enriched Brake Caliper Coating (900°F, Durable)

VHT Caliper Paint Gloss Red 11 oz is a high-heat, durable aerosol coating made for painting brake calipers and other brake components while resisting chipping, chemicals, and heat up to 900°F.

If you want a professional-looking, long-lasting finish on your brake hardware, this caliper paint delivers a vibrant gloss red that stands up to the temperatures and contaminants that brake parts face. Formulated with ceramic-enriched resins, it adheres to metal, dries quickly, and is engineered to resist brake dust, road grime, and occasional chemical exposure. Preparation of the surface before spraying is critical to achieve the best adhesion and longevity.

How hot can VHT Caliper Paint withstand and why does that matter?

This paint tolerates intermittent temperatures up to 900°F (482°C), which covers the thermal spikes brake components can see during spirited driving or repeated heavy braking. Heat resistance helps prevent blistering, fading and breakdown of the finish over time.

• Ceramic-enriched resin formulation resists heat up to 900°F
• Maintains gloss and color under intermittent high temperatures
• Reduces risk of paint failure from thermal cycling

How does it hold up against chips, chemicals, and brake dust?

VHT’s formula is intended to be abrasion- and chemical-resistant so the coated surface stays cleaner and looks newer longer. It’s designed to bond tightly to prepped metal to resist chipping and to tolerate exposure to brake dust and common road contaminants.

• Engineered to resist chipping from road debris and use
• Formulation minimizes staining from brake dust and light chemical exposure
• Durable finish helps reduce frequent touch-ups

What is the application and drying process?

The aerosol is user-friendly: the EZ Touch conical nozzle provides a controlled spray pattern for even coverage. It becomes dry to the touch in about 30 minutes and can be handled in roughly one hour, but full cure and optimum resistance develop after proper flash times and baking if desired.

• EZ Touch conical nozzle for smoother, more precise spraying
• Dry to touch in ~30 minutes and handleable in ~1 hour under recommended conditions
• Best results with thorough surface prep: clean, degrease, and scuff or sand surface

Can this paint be used on other brake parts besides calipers?

Yes — while formulated for calipers, it’s suitable for other brake components such as rotors and drums where heat and durability are required. Ensure each part is compatible and prepped correctly to promote adhesion and longevity of the coating.

• Recommended for calipers, rotors, and drums
• Test small areas first on unusual alloys or coated parts
• Follow safety guidelines and avoid coated friction surfaces (pads, rotors friction faces)

Who is this for: VHT Caliper Paint Gloss Red 11 oz is aimed at car enthusiasts, detailers, and DIY mechanics who want a showroom-style finish on brake hardware that stands up to real-world conditions. It’s suitable for anyone who will carefully prep the surface, follow application instructions, and wants a high-gloss red finish that resists heat, chipping, and brake dust.
