WARN Drill Winch 750 lb Portable Drill-Powered Winch — 40' Synthetic Rope, Free-Spool Clutch

The WARN Drill Winch converts a standard portable drill into a compact 750 lb pulling tool with 40' of synthetic rope for lightweight, on-the-go pulling tasks.

Compact and rugged, the WARN Drill Winch 101575 is designed to turn a common cordless drill (not included) into a convenient mini-winch for yard, trail, and farm work. With an integrated hawse fairlead, front and rear rigging hooks, and a free-spool clutch, this unit keeps setup fast while the synthetic rope lowers weight and improves handling. It’s built for utility—stretching fence lines, pulling small logs, loading ATVs, and helping with a wide range of light- to medium-duty pulls.

How much pulling power does this drill winch actually provide?

The WARN Drill Winch offers a single-line rated capacity of 750 pounds, suitable for many common outdoor tasks where a full-size winch would be overkill. That capacity comes from the winch gearbox and drum design working with the supplied synthetic rope—choose your drill speed and torque to control the pull.

• 750 lb single-line rated pulling capacity.
• Designed for light- to medium-duty work like dragging logs or loading small trailers.
• Synthetic rope reduces weight and resists kinking.
• Performance depends on drill torque and gearing—low-speed/high-torque drills deliver smoother pulls.

What comes in the box and how easy is it to rig?

The package includes the winch with a 40' length of 5/32" synthetic rope, integrated hawse fairlead, and front and rear rigging hooks for flexible attachment points. A free-spool clutch lets you quickly feed rope and set up anchor points before hooking your drill to the input shaft.

• 40 feet of 5/32" durable synthetic rope for lightweight handling.
• Integrated hawse fairlead for smooth rope feed and reduced wear.
• Front and rear rigging hooks for multiple anchor options.
• Free-spool clutch to speed up rigging and rope deployment.

How does it work with my drill and what should I use it for?

The winch accepts a standard portable drill as the power source; secure the drill into the winch input and use the drill’s trigger to control spool speed and direction. It’s ideal where portability and simplicity matter more than heavy lifting—trail maintenance, game recovery, fence stretching, light mechanical assists, and small loading jobs.

• Works with most standard cordless or corded drills (drill not included).
• Use variable-speed drills for fine control during delicate pulls.
• Perfect for remote or occasional pulling tasks where a vehicle-mounted winch isn’t practical.
• Not intended to replace heavy-duty vehicle winches for rescue or industrial lifting.

What safety and maintenance steps should I follow?

Keep the rope and fairlead free from sharp edges and abrasives, inspect rigging points before every use, and operate within the 750 lb rating. Use gloves when handling rope, avoid sudden jerks, and store the winch and rope dry and protected from UV exposure to extend service life.

• Inspect synthetic rope and hooks for wear before each use.
• Operate within the rated 750 lb limit; avoid shock loads.
• Wear gloves and stand clear of the rope line during pulls.
• Rinse and dry components after exposure to mud or salt; store indoors.

Who is this for? The WARN Drill Winch is aimed at outdoor enthusiasts, homesteaders, landowners, and handymen who need a portable, lightweight pulling solution without carrying a vehicle winch. If you already own a decent portable drill and want a compact tool for occasional towing, trail work, fence stretching, or loading small equipment, this winch provides a reliable, easy-to-transport option with practical rigging features and synthetic rope convenience.
