3M 2080 Car Wrap Vinyl Film – Gloss White 60in x 12in (5 sq ft), 3.5 mil Multi‑Cast with Controltac & Comply

3M 2080 G10 Gloss White is a premium 3.5 mil multi-cast automotive vinyl film sized 60" x 12" (5 sq ft) designed for smooth, bubble-free vehicle wraps and accent panels.

This 3M 2080 G10 Gloss White film pairs high-sheen optics with 3M's Controltac and Comply adhesive technologies to deliver precise repositioning during installation and rapid air-channel release for a smooth finish. Built for both DIY enthusiasts and professional installers, the film balances conformability, cold-stretch performance, and long-term durability for exterior and select interior surfaces.

How does this vinyl make installation easier for DIYers and pros?

The film uses Controltac repositionable adhesive and Comply air-release channels to reduce trapped air and speed alignment. That combination lets you reposition the film before final squeegee-down and minimize bubbles without extreme heat or specialty tools.

• Controltac adhesive allows slide-then-stick placement for accurate alignment.
• Comply micro-channels clear air for bubble-free squeegeeing.
• Thin 3.5 mil multi-cast construction conforms to curves and edges.
• Rvinyl quick-guide included for step-by-step installation tips.

What vehicle surfaces and applications is the 3M 2080 G10 suitable for?

This gloss white vinyl is formulated for a wide range of substrates: full vehicle wraps, accent panels, roofs, mirrors, hoods, and many marine or powersports surfaces. It adheres well to hard, non-porous surfaces and works for both exterior and selected interior trim pieces.

• Full and partial car wraps, including doors and bumpers.
• Motorcycles, ATVs, UTVs, and boats with compatible substrates.
• Interior trim pieces and accent panels where gloss finish is desired.
• Touch-up or custom graphic elements on painted surfaces.

How does the film perform over time and under outdoor conditions?

3M's multi-cast vinyl resists UV fading and everyday wear when applied correctly and maintained. While not a permanent paint replacement, it provides long-lasting color retention and protection against light abrasions when used on appropriate surfaces.

• Durable gloss finish protects against minor scratches and weathering.
• Maintains color and shine with routine cleaning and sun protection.
• Removes cleanly when heated and peeled following 3M removal guidelines.
• Suitable for marine applications with proper substrate prep and care.

What tools, prep and post-care should I plan for best results?

Proper surface preparation and a few basic tools ensure a professional finish: clean, degrease, and remove contaminants before applying; use a heat gun for tight curves; and clean with non-abrasive products after installation.

• Surface cleaning: isopropyl alcohol or 3M-approved cleaners.
• Tools: squeegee, microfiber towels, heat gun, sharp trim knife.
• Apply in a dust-free, shaded area to avoid rapid adhesive set-up.
• Maintain with gentle washing and avoid harsh solvents.
