3M PPS 2.0 Spray Gun Adapter S18 — 3/8" Female 18 NPS Stainless Steel, Four-Point Seal

The 3M PPS 2.0 Spray Gun Adapter S18 (26054) converts a standard spray gun into a PPS Series 2.0–compatible gun, giving a secure, four-point connection between the gun and disposable PPS lid.

The S18 adapter from 3M is a purpose-built stainless steel fitting that lets professional refinishers and industrial painters use the PPS Series 2.0 disposable lid-and-liner system without changing their preferred spray gun. Designed for durability and solvent resistance, this adapter threads into the gun where the original cup attached and establishes a wide, steady base to hold the PPS lid and liner in place during spraying and cleanup.

How do I install the S18 adapter on my spray gun?

Installation is straightforward: remove the paint cup currently mounted to your spray gun, then thread the S18 adapter into the gun’s cup port. Tighten to a snug fit, attach a PPS 2.0 disposable lid and liner, and you’re ready to spray.

• Thread size: 3/8-inch female, 18 thread NPS for proper fit
• Material: stainless steel for secure, solvent-resistant connection
• Four-point lid connection ensures stability during use

Which spray guns work with adapter #S18?

The S18 is made to fit guns that accept a 3/8-inch female, 18-thread NPS coupling. Many popular professional spray guns match this specification; consult the compatibility chart (often supplied with PPS parts) or your gun manual to confirm fit before purchasing.

• Check your gun’s thread type and diameter against 3/8" female, 18 NPS
• Use the 3M PPS adapter chart to match gun model to adapter part
• If unsure, verify with your gun manufacturer or 3M technical literature

What performance and cleanup advantages does the adapter enable?

Using the S18 with the PPS 2.0 disposable lid-and-liner system reduces solvent use and cleanup time compared with traditional metal cups. The secure four-point connection keeps the lid steady for consistent spray, while disposable liners minimize paint waste and contamination.

• Reduces solvent consumption and speeds cleanup when liners are discarded
• Improves material handling—measure, mix, filter, and spray with the same liner
• Wide base design enhances stability and prevents leaks during use

How should I care for and maintain the adapter?

Because the S18 is stainless steel, it resists corrosion from common solvents and is easy to keep clean. Wipe or soak the adapter after heavy use and inspect threads routinely to ensure a tight, leak-free seal.

• Rinse or soak in compatible solvent after use to remove residue
• Inspect and dry threads before reassembly to prevent cross-threading
• Replace if threads or the sealing surface show excessive wear

Who is this for: The 3M PPS 2.0 Adapter S18 (26054) is aimed at professional painters, collision repair shops, marine and industrial refinishers, and anyone who wants to pair their existing spray gun with the PPS disposable lid-and-liner workflow. It’s ideal when you want to keep your trusted gun model but gain the faster prep, cleaner changeover, and reduced solvent use that come with PPS 2.0. Note: intended for industrial/occupational applications only, not for consumer sale or household use.
