How much force do these struts provide and what does that mean?

Each gas shock supplies 24LB (107N) of push force, suitable for lightweight lids and doors where gentle, controlled lift is required. This force helps prevent sudden slamming while reducing the effort needed to open or hold an item in place.

• Rated force: 24 pounds (107 newtons) per strut
• Best for light-to-moderate weight panels and lids
• Designed to steady motion and resist abrupt closures

What are the physical dimensions and mounting details?

The working stroke runs between an 8.2-inch compressed length and a 12-inch extended length measured from hole-to-hole. Each kit includes two struts and simple bracket hardware so you can fit them into common mounting points without specialized tools.

• Compressed length: 8.2 inches (hole-to-hole)
• Extended length: 12 inches (hole-to-hole)
• Bracket included for each strut; installation typically needs only a flat screwdriver

Where can I use these gas shocks — are they compatible with my project?

These gas struts are versatile and intended for many automotive and recreational applications. Typical uses include truck toolboxes, camper shells, toppers, RV cabinet doors and custom builds where a modest lift assist is required.

• Compatible with tool boxes, truck caps, camper shells, and toppers
• Useful for RV cabinet doors and rear windows requiring damped opening
