Astro Pneumatic Tool PR14 Air Riveter 3/32"–1/4" Capacity — 633 lb Pull, 15 mm Stroke

The Astro Pneumatic PR14 is a heavy-duty air riveter that sets solid rivets from 3/32" up to 1/4" with a 633 lb pulling force for industrial and shop use.

Built for fabrication, bodywork and high-volume assembly, the PR14 combines a robust 1/2 hp pneumatic motor with a 15 mm stroke and quick-return valve to speed rivet installation. Its compact 10-7/8" length and 3.5 lb net weight balance power and operator control, while five included nosepieces cover common rivet sizes. The tool is designed to tolerate multiple working angles and frequent cycling in demanding environments.

How much riveting range and power does the PR14 provide?

The PR14 accepts solid rivets from 3/32" (2.4 mm) up to 1/4" (6.4 mm) using its interchangeable nosepieces. With a rated pulling force of 633 pounds and a 15 mm stroke, it delivers the mechanical capacity needed for thicker materials and larger fastening jobs.

• Rivet size compatibility: 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16", 1/4"
• Pulling force: 633 lb for demanding pulls
• Stroke length: 15 mm for complete clinch formation

What are the air and power requirements for continuous work?

This riveter runs from a 1/4" NPT air inlet and performs best on 90–120 psi supply pressure. Average air consumption and hose sizing support extended cycle use when connected to an appropriately sized compressor and 3/8" (10 mm) hose ID.

• Air inlet: 1/4" NPT thread
• Recommended pressure: 90–120 psi
• Air hose ID: 3/8" (10 mm) for stable flow
• Average consumption quoted per stroke for system planning

Which features improve productivity and serviceability?

The PR14 is built for production environments: a quick-release air valve returns the cylinder rapidly between strokes to maintain high assembly rates and avoid cylinder overload. Five nosepieces are supplied and stored on or in the tool for fast size changes and reduced downtime.

• Quick-release valve for faster cylinder return and cycle speed
• Five nosepieces included and stored with the tool for convenience
• Three nosepieces screwed under the base for easy access
• Durable construction suited to frequent, angled use

How large and heavy is the tool for handling and storage?

The PR14 measures about 10-7/8" (280 mm) overall and weighs roughly 3.5 lb (1.6 kg), striking a balance between reach and control. Its size makes it manageable for overhead or tight-space applications while still providing industrial-grade output.

• Overall length: 10-7/8" (280 mm)
• Net weight: approximately 3.5 lb (1.6 kg)
• Ergonomics suitable for multi-angle operation

Who is this for: The Astro Pneumatic PR14 is aimed at fabricators, collision repair technicians, maintenance crews and production assemblers who need a compact, dependable pneumatic rivet setter for medium-to-heavy fastening tasks. If you require multiple rivet sizes, frequent cycles, and a tool that stays serviceable in a shop environment, the PR14 provides a practical, workshop-ready solution.
