Camco RV Awning De-Flapper Max Clamp 2-Pack — 8-inch Wide Clamps, UV-Stable Nylon

Camco Awning De-Flapper Max is a two-piece clamping system that quiets wind flapping and protects RV awning fabric from rips and wear.

When you park your RV, gusts and steady wind can make awnings flap, wear, and eventually tear. The Camco De-Flapper Max is engineered to clamp over the awning hem and hold it steady without leaving marks, so you don’t have to roll the awning in every time the wind picks up. Built from UV-stabilized nylon with chemical-resistant straps, this two-pack provides a durable, low-profile solution that fits most RV awnings and works even when a screen room is attached.

How does the De-Flapper Max stop noisy wind and prevent tears?

The De-Flapper Max uses a wide, 8‑inch clamp with soft, non-marring grippers that secure the hem of the awning to reduce movement. By limiting the fabric’s movement you reduce abrasion along seams and fabric edges, which lowers the chance of costly rips. The hook-and-loop straps keep the clamp locked in place through gusts and steady breezes.

• 8-inch wide clamp with soft grippers to absorb motion
• Hook-and-loop fastener straps for firm, adjustable hold
• Reduces fabric abrasion and seam stress during wind events

Will this fit my RV awning and screen room setup?

De-Flapper Max is designed as a universal-fit accessory and will work with most residential and RV awnings. The clamp can be attached while a screen room is installed, so you don’t need to remove additional accessories to use it. The working length range and strap design accommodate common hem sizes and profiles.

• Compatible with most RV awnings and screen rooms
• Working length range of about 4 to 6 inches for typical hems
• Adjustable hook-and-loop straps fit a variety of fabric thicknesses

How durable is the construction, and will it resist weather damage?

The clamp body is molded from UV-stabilized nylon that resists sun degradation and cracking, while the straps are chemical-resistant and rust-proof for long-term outdoor use. The non-marring grippers protect delicate fabrics and won’t transfer stains or scuffs. This construction makes the De-Flapper Max suitable for repeated seasonal exposure and wet weather conditions.

• Durable nylon with UV stabilizers prevents brittleness
• Chemical-resistant, rust-proof straps for coastal or harsh environments
• Non-marring grippers protect fabric integrity and appearance

How easy is it to install and store when not in use?

Installation is straightforward: place the clamp over the awning hem and secure with the built-in hook-and-loop straps—no tools required. Each unit measures roughly 8 x 3 x 2.5 inches, making them compact to store in an RV bay or storage locker when not needed. Because they’re light and portable, you can move or remove them quickly as conditions change.

• Tool-free installation with hook-and-loop fastening
• Compact dimensions for easy storage (8 x 3 x 2.5 inches)
• Sold as a 2-pack so you can protect both ends or multiple awnings
