EVIL ENERGY 1" Silicone Heater Hose 10 ft – SAE 20R3 Class A, 60 PSI, -67°F to 356°F

EVIL ENERGY 1" Silicone Heater Hose is a 10-foot, SAE 20R3–compliant coolant and heater hose built from braided polyester and silicone layers to handle -67°F to 356°F with a 60 psi working pressure.

This heavy-duty heater hose is designed for automotive cooling and heating circuits where a resilient, long-lasting alternative to EPDM is required. Its braided polyester reinforcement and silicone inner/outer skins deliver broad temperature tolerance, improved flexibility, and longer service life. The hose meets SAE 20R3 class A standards, offering predictable performance for coolant, water, steam, and non-aggressive fluids in engine bay and heating applications.

How does this hose perform under high and low temperatures?

The EVIL ENERGY silicone construction maintains flexibility and dimensional stability across a wide range of temperatures, from -67°F up to 356°F (-55°C to 180°C). That expansive range reduces cracking in cold starts and hardening at high operating temperatures, making it suitable for seasonal climate swings and elevated under-hood heat.

• Temperature range: -67°F to 356°F (-55°C to 180°C)
• Retains flexibility in subzero conditions
• Resists softening and degradation at high temperatures

What are the size, pressure ratings, and SAE compliance details?

This hose is specified with a 1.00" inner diameter (25.4 mm) and an outer diameter of 1-3/8" (34.4 mm), supplied as a 10-foot length. It carries a 60 psi working pressure and a 174 psi burst pressure, and it meets SAE 20R3 Class A requirements for heater and coolant hose uses.

• ID: 1.00" (25.4 mm) with ±0.4 mm tolerance
• OD: 1-3/8" (34.4 mm) with ±0.4 mm tolerance
• Working pressure: 60 psi; burst pressure: 174 psi
• Minimum bend radius: 127 mm; length: 10 ft

Which fluids and systems is this silicone heater hose suitable for?

The hose is rated for coolant, water, steam, transport air, and weak acidic or alkaline solutions—typical media found in automotive and building heating systems. It is explicitly not intended for fuel, engine oil, alcohols, or lubricants, so avoid using it for fuel systems or oil lines.

• Suitable: coolant systems, heater cores, water heaters, steam lines, air transport
• Not suitable: gasoline, alcohol-based fluids, engine oil, lubricants
• Designed for non-aggressive fluids in automotive and HVAC environments

How durable and flexible is the hose compared with EPDM alternatives?

Silicone material combined with braided polyester reinforcement provides extended service life and better thermal tolerance than standard EPDM hoses. The dual silicone skins protect against ozone and heat-related degradation while the braid supports pressure cycling and dimensional stability.

• Construction: braided polyester fiber with silicone inner and outer layers
• Longer lifespan and wider temperature tolerance versus EPDM
• Maintains shape and resists ozone and heat cracking

Who is this for? EVIL ENERGY’s 1" silicone heater hose is aimed at DIY mechanics, restoration shops, performance tuners, and HVAC technicians who need a resilient, SAE 20R3–compliant hose for coolant and heating systems. Choose this hose when you require a 10-foot length, wide temperature range, and dependable pressure ratings for non-fuel fluid circuits.
