GEATaaT RV skylight outer dome replacement 18" x 26" flange — clear polycarbonate, UV-coated impact resistant

If your RV’s outer skylight dome is cracked, yellowed, or leaking, replacing it brings back daylight, improves ventilation performance, and refreshes the interior appearance. This clear outer dome measures a 14" x 22" curved dome surface with a 4" profile and an 18" x 26" flange, making it compatible with most standard RV sunroof openings found in travel trailers, motorhomes, fifth wheels, and campers. Constructed from UV-coated polycarbonate, the dome balances impact resistance with long-lasting clarity.

How will this skylight dome improve my RV’s interior light and atmosphere?

The GEATaaT clear dome restores daylight penetration, brightening spaces like bathrooms, showers, and small living areas without adding permanent glare. Its clear finish lets natural light flood the interior while the curved shape diffuses direct sunlight for even illumination.

• Clear polycarbonate maximizes visible light transmission.
• Curved dome shape diffuses sunlight to reduce hotspots.
• Ideal for small rooms that lack windows, like bathrooms.
• Replaces yellowed or scratched originals to return factory clarity.

Will this outer dome withstand weather, road debris, and UV exposure?

Yes — the dome is molded from high-quality polycarbonate with an anti-UV coating to resist yellowing and surface degradation. Its impact-resistant construction helps protect against hail, branches, and road stones while maintaining a long service life under variable outdoor conditions.

• Polycarbonate core offers strong impact resistance compared to acrylic.
• Anti-UV coating reduces discoloration and material breakdown.
• Designed to handle rain, sun, and moderate debris exposure.
• Durable flange supports secure sealing against leaks when installed properly.

Is this dome easy to install on my RV or camper?

Installation is straightforward for anyone comfortable with basic DIY tasks. The product ships with mounting screws and fits the standard 14" x 22" opening; many users follow online installation videos for step-by-step guidance.

• Direct-fit dimensions: dome 14" x 22" x 4", flange 18" x 26".
• Mounting screws included — no special fasteners typically required.
• Removable existing dome and clean flange before fitting new dome.
• Video guides available to walk through sealant and torque steps.

How do I maintain the dome to keep it clear and leak-free?

Maintenance is minimal: clean periodically with mild soap and water, avoid abrasive cleaners, and inspect the flange sealant yearly. Tighten fasteners if necessary and replace sealant if signs of cracking or gaps appear.

• Use non-abrasive cloth and mild detergent for cleaning.
• Check mounting screws and re-tighten to manufacturer torque specs.
• Inspect sealant perimeter for cracks; re-caulk with RV-grade sealant if needed.
• Avoid harsh solvents that can damage the anti-UV coating.
