Mann Filter engine air filter C 28 004 for Mercedes‑Benz C300/GLC300 — OE-fit, high‑efficiency protection

Mann Filter C 28 004 is a vehicle-specific engine air filter built to block harmful particles, stabilize intake flow, and preserve engine components for select Mercedes‑Benz models.

This replacement air filter is engineered to match original equipment fit and function for compatible Mercedes‑Benz C300, C350e, E300, E350, GLC300, GLC350e, and SLC300 vehicles. Mann Filter combines reinforced pleat construction, water- and flame-resistant media, and a protective coating to reduce contamination, help maintain optimal air–fuel mixture, and protect sensitive parts like the mass air flow sensor. The result is predictable airflow and durable performance in modern high‑volume engines.

How does this filter improve engine protection and performance?

The C 28 004 traps dust, soot and other particulates before they enter the intake system, which helps prevent abrasion and contamination of internal components. Low flow resistance maintains steady airflow so the engine receives consistent amounts of air, supporting stable combustion across throttle ranges.

• High-efficiency filter media captures very fine particles.
• Embossed pleats maintain shape under pressure and airflow.
• Special coating resists moisture and hot ash for longevity.
• OE-fit design reduces gaps and bypassing of unfiltered air.

Will this part fit my Mercedes‑Benz model?

This Mann Filter element is vehicle-specific and intended for the listed Mercedes‑Benz models; confirm fitment with your VIN or parts diagram before purchase. Fitment ensures the filter seals correctly in the housing and prevents unfiltered air from entering the intake tract.

• Compatible with select C‑class, E‑class, GLC and SLC model variants.
• Designed to match OE dimensions and sealing surfaces.
• Check manufacturer part numbers or dealer documentation for exact match.

How long does a Mann Filter air filter last and when should I replace it?

Service intervals depend on driving conditions: city traffic, dusty roads, or frequent short trips increase contaminant exposure compared with mostly highway driving. Inspect at routine maintenance intervals and replace based on contamination, damage, or manufacturer-recommended mileage rather than on time alone.

• Inspect visually during regular oil or service checks.
• Replace if media is heavily soiled, torn, or deformed.
• Follow Mercedes‑Benz or service manual mileage recommendations for replacement guidance.

What materials and design features make this filter durable?

The C 28 004 uses a flame-retardant, water-resistant filter medium with embossed pleating for structural stability. These features reduce media collapse and channeling in wet or high‑temperature conditions, extending reliable filtration life compared with uncoated paper elements.

• Water‑resistant coating mitigates moisture absorption in damp climates.
• Embossed pleats increase rigidity and maintain filter geometry.
• Low flow resistance helps preserve sensor accuracy and engine response.

Who is this for: Drivers and independent mechanics who own compatible Mercedes‑Benz C‑class, E‑class, GLC or SLC vehicles and want an OE‑quality replacement air filter that balances high dirt‑capture efficiency with low airflow resistance. The Mann Filter C 28 004 suits owners focused on preserving engine components, maintaining predictable intake airflow, and matching original equipment specifications during routine maintenance or filter replacement.
