Piaa Si‑Tech Silicone Wiper Blade 22-inch (550mm) — All‑Season, Quiet Beading Performance

PIAA 97055 is a 22-inch Si‑Tech silicone flat wiper blade that delivers streak‑free, all‑season windshield wiping with a silicone-infused rubber edge for water beading and quiet operation.

Engineered as a frameless OEM-style replacement, the PIAA Si‑Tech silicone blade swaps into most factory wiper arms and uses a silicone‑enhanced wiping element to improve water repellency and reduce noise. Its low‑profile design resists snow and ice buildup while distributing pressure more evenly along the blade length for cleaner contact with the glass.

How does this blade perform in rain and wet conditions?

The silicone-infused rubber continually transfers an invisible silicone layer to the windshield, helping raindrops bead and roll off for clearer sightlines. The flat profile maintains uniform contact so the blade wipes more consistently across the whole sweep.

• Silicone rubber promotes water beading and faster runoff
• Even pressure points reduce streaks and missed spots
• Quiet operation compared with traditional rubber blades

Will it handle winter weather like snow and ice?

The frameless, flat design minimizes places where ice and packed snow can accumulate, making the blade easier to clear and less likely to freeze to its frame. The construction removes exposed metal components that often bind up in cold weather.

• Low‑profile shape prevents snow packing and shedding
• Heat and ozone resistant materials resist cracking in cold
• No exposed metal to freeze or corrode

Is installation compatible with my vehicle’s wiper arm?

PIAA Si‑Tech blades are designed to fit over 98% of wiper arms commonly used on cars and light trucks, including popular OEM hook styles. Many users can install them by hand in minutes using the supplied universal adapter system.

• Universal adapter fits most hook and pin wiper arms
• Simple snap‑on installation without special tools
• 22‑inch length matches common OEM replacement sizes

How long will the silicone blade last and what maintenance is needed?

Durability depends on exposure and use, but silicone compounds resist heat, ozone, and degradation better than conventional rubber, extending useful life. Periodic cleaning with mild soap and water helps maintain wiping performance and the silicone transfer effect.

• Silicone resists cracking from sun and ozone
• Clean with mild detergent to remove debris and oil
• Replace when streaking or skipping returns

Who is this for: Drivers who want a low‑profile, OEM‑style wiper that improves wet‑weather visibility and reduces winter icing issues will benefit from the PIAA 97055 Si‑Tech silicone blade. It’s suited to commuters, owners of newer vehicles looking to match factory performance, and anyone who prefers quieter, longer‑lasting wiper blades without exposed metal parts.
