Plasti Dip 2-pack 11oz in black is a flexible, removable rubber coating spray for household, automotive, and DIY projects.
Plasti Dip is a specialty air-dry elastomer available as an easily applied spray, brush, or dip coating. Each 11oz can forms a durable, tack-resistant rubber layer that helps protect surfaces from moisture, abrasion, corrosion and slipping while preserving flexibility in hot and cold conditions. This two-can set is suited for short-run projects and test applications where removability, grip, and surface protection matter.
The spray creates a rubberized membrane that shields surfaces from water, acids, and chemical exposure without permanently bonding to many substrates. It also absorbs minor shocks and reduces vibration, extending the useful life of coated tools and fixtures. Because the coating remains flexible, it resists cracking in temperature swings.
Yes—Plasti Dip adds a comfortable, non-slip finish that improves handling while altering a surface’s look. Multiple thin coats can build a matte, uniform black finish; you can also texture the coat by varying spray distance or using a brush. When you want the original surface back, many coated areas peel away cleanly.
Plasti Dip can be sprayed directly from the can, brushed for small areas, or used as a dip for removable parts. Apply several light coats rather than a single heavy coat to avoid runs and to achieve even coverage; tack-free times are short, but full cure occurs over a few hours to days depending on humidity and thickness. Clean-up is simple before cure with appropriate solvent or mineral spirits.
Plasti Dip stays flexible and resists becoming brittle, maintaining protection in extreme temperature swings and outdoor exposure. It offers abrasion resistance and helps prevent surface degradation from everyday wear, though high-friction or continuous immersion applications will reduce lifespan. For heavy-duty industrial exposure, evaluate with a small test area first.
Who is this for: This two-can pack is ideal for DIYers, hobbyists, workshop owners, and homeowners who need a removable, protective rubber coating in black—whether for tool handles, trim, electrical insulation, or quick cosmetic upgrades. It’s well-suited for trial runs, seasonal projects, or when you want temporary protection and improved grip without permanent alteration.
Safety note: Contains solvents and chemicals—use in a well-ventilated area, follow label directions, and consult local regulations for disposal. The product may contain substances known to some jurisdictions to cause reproductive harm; review safety information before use.
Q: Is Plasti Dip removable after it cures?
A: Yes—on many surfaces the cured coating can be peeled off when applied in layers and not chemically bonded.
Q: What temperatures can Plasti Dip tolerate?
A: Plasti Dip remains flexible and performs from about -30°F to 200°F after full cure.
