RUPES D-A Coarse 250 ml High-Performance Cut Polishing Compound — Aggressive Cut, Low-Dust for Dual-Action Polishers

RUPES 250 ml D-A Coarse High Performance Cut Polishing Compound is a heavy-duty dual-action polishing paste engineered to remove moderate to severe paint defects, swirl marks, and scratches when used with appropriate pads and polishers.

This concentrated 250 ml formula from RUPES uses micro-abrasive technology and lubricating agents to deliver aggressive cutting power while maintaining surface safety. It’s formulated for all dual-action polishers — including large-stroke random orbital and gear-driven types — and works most effectively with coarse blue foam, DA wool pads, or coarse microfiber discs. Low-dusting properties reduce cleanup time, and its consistency supports longer polishing cycles without drying out.

How quickly will it remove swirl marks and deeper scratches?

RUPES D-A Coarse is designed for fast defect correction when paired with the right pad and speed settings. You should see visible improvement after a single pass on moderate defects; heavier defects may require multiple passes and progressively finer steps.

• Formulated for moderate to severe defect removal with micro-abrasive particles
• Best results using coarse blue foam, DA wool, or coarse microfiber discs
• Works on all dual-action polishers, including large-stroke and gear-driven
• Low-dust formula makes post-polish cleanup quicker

What pads and machines work best with this compound?

Choose a coarse pad to match the compound’s aggressive cut: coarse foam, wool, or coarse microfiber are recommended to expose the abrasives and generate the necessary heat and action for defect removal. The compound is safe across dual-action platforms but requires correct speed and technique to avoid overworking the surface.

• Pad compatibility: coarse blue foam, DA wool, coarse microfiber discs
• Tool compatibility: all dual-action polishers, large-stroke random orbital, gear-driven polishers
• Use moderate pressure and controlled motion to avoid excess heat
• Finish with progressively finer polish and pad for gloss restoration

How do I manage dusting and cleanup after polishing?

RUPES D-A Coarse features a low-dusting formulation to limit airborne residue and simplify wiping. After polishing, remove excess compound with a high-quality microfiber towel; follow with a finer polish step to refine the surface and remove any remaining haze.

• Low dust control reduces airborne particles and mess
• Wipe off residue with a clean microfiber towel during or immediately after buffing
• Complete process with a medium-to-fine polish to restore gloss
• Lubricating agents help maintain pad stability over longer cycles

Will this compound harm the paint or surrounding trim?

When applied with the correct pad, machine, and technique, the compound is formulated to cut defects while protecting the underlying surface through lubricants that reduce friction. Always test in an inconspicuous area and follow with finer polishes to remove micro-marring for a safe, high-quality finish.

• Contains lubricating agents to limit surface abrasion
• Safer when used with recommended pads and dual-action machines
• Perform a small test spot before full-panel application
• Follow with finishing polish to minimize micro-marring and enhance gloss

Who is this for? Detailers, professional car care shops, and serious enthusiasts looking to remove moderate-to-severe paint defects will benefit most from RUPES 250 ml D-A Coarse Compound. It’s ideal for technicians who use dual-action polishers and require a reliable, low-dust, high-cut product to speed correction steps before finishing with finer polishes. If you prefer a one-bottle heavy-corrective step to tackle stubborn swirls and scratches and then refine the finish, this compound is engineered for that workflow.
