Safoner Aluminum RV Roof Vent Cover Replacement 14x14 | Corrosion‑Resistant Metal Lid & Hardware Kit

Safoner's 14" x 14" aluminum RV roof vent cover is a heavy-duty replacement lid and hardware kit designed to restore ventilation, keep out rain, and resist corrosion on compatible camper vents.

When your RV vent lid is cracked, faded, or leaks, swapping in a robust aluminum cover can extend the life of the vent assembly and improve airflow control. This Safoner kit supplies a single-piece aluminum vent lid sized to 14" x 14", plus an all-metal hinge, crossbar and seven screws, and an illustrated guide to simplify installation. Built to stand up to wind, moisture and UV exposure, the replacement is created for trailers and campers that use older Ventline or Elixir roof vent systems.

What makes this aluminum vent cover a better replacement than plastic lids?

Aluminum resists cracking from temperature swings and stays dimensionally stable under sunlight, unlike many plastics that become brittle with age. The metal construction also reduces routine maintenance and provides a firmer seal against wind-driven rain when mounted correctly.

• Corrosion-resistant aluminum resists rust and long-term degradation.
• All-metal hinge and crossbar improve mechanical strength under repeated use.
• Heat-reflective surface helps limit heat absorption into the vent assembly.

How do I know this cover will fit my RV vent opening?

This Safoner cover is manufactured to fit a 14" x 14" roof vent frame, which is a standard size for many camper vents. It is specifically compatible with Ventline units made before 2008 and Elixir models from 1994 onward, but you should confirm external frame dimensions on your roof before ordering.

• Measure the outside edge-to-edge of your vent frame—must be approximately 14" x 14".
• Check your vent brand and manufacture year; Ventline (pre-2008) and Elixir (from 1994) are listed compatibilities.
• Consult the included installation guide for mounting hole layout and screw positions.

What comes in the kit and how difficult is installation?

The package includes one aluminum roof vent cover, a metal hinge, a metal crossbar, seven stainless fasteners and an instructional guide. Basic hand tools are enough for most installations, and the all-metal components are arranged to match standard vent hole patterns so a DIYer can complete the swap in a short afternoon.

• 1x 14" x 14" aluminum vent lid, 1x hinge, 1x crossbar, 7x screws, and an install guide.
• Installation typically requires a screwdriver, sealant, and a ladder or stable rooftop access.
• Follow the guide to align holes, tighten hardware, and reseal edges to prevent leaks.

Will this reduce leaks and improve ventilation performance?

A properly installed aluminum cover helps block rain intrusion and offers a sturdy lid for your vent, which can improve weather protection compared with damaged or warped originals. While it protects against water and wind, ensure gaskets and seals are in good condition for optimal performance.

• Sturdy lid minimizes flexing that can allow water to enter at high wind speeds.
• Durable finish reduces UV-related deterioration that creates gaps and cracks.
• Pair with fresh seals or caulk for improved water-tight integrity.

Who is this for? RV owners, camper DIYers, and fleet maintenance technicians looking to replace an aging 14" x 14" vent lid with a more durable, all-metal alternative. The Safoner aluminum kit is best for those with Ventline vents made before 2008 or Elixir models from 1994 onward who want a corrosion-resistant, long-lasting replacement that comes with matching metal hardware and an installation guide.
