VViViD Clear Cast Paint Protection Film 6in x 60in — 6mil Polyurethane, Nearly Invisible Protection

VViViD Premium Clear Cast Paint Protection is a 6mil clear polyurethane film strip that guards vehicle paint from chips, scuffs, and road debris while remaining nearly invisible.

This 6-inch by 60-inch roll of clear cast vinyl from VViViD is designed to protect high-impact zones such as bumper edges, door sills, mirror housings and truck bed lips without altering your vehicle’s finish. The film uses a pressure-sensitive adhesive so it conforms to curves and stays in place, yet can be removed cleanly when desired. It’s a practical, low-profile solution for drivers who want to maintain their paint’s appearance between major detailing or ceramic coatings.

Where should I apply this 6" x 60" film on my vehicle?

Use the 6-inch width for long narrow areas and common chip zones. It’s sized to cover bumpers, rocker panels, hood leading edges, door edges, and mirrors without excessive trimming.

• Bumper lips and corners to stop stone chips.
• Hood leading edge to prevent paint wear from debris.
• Rocker panels and door sills to reduce scuffs from shoes and road grit.
• Truck bed rails and tailgate edges for cargo protection.

How durable is the VViViD clear cast polyurethane and how long will it last?

The film is a 6mil thick cast polyurethane designed for outdoor automotive use. With proper cleaning and installation, it resists yellowing, tearing and abrasion from everyday road exposure.

• 6mil cast polyurethane construction for flexibility and impact resistance.
• UV-stable formulation to minimize discoloration over time.
• Pressure-sensitive adhesive that balances hold and clean removal.
• Best lifespan when washed regularly and kept free of heavy contaminants.

Is installation difficult and what tools or steps are recommended?

Installation is approachable for DIYers who take their time; complex curves may need heat and squeegeeing. VViViD offers step-by-step guidance online, and common tools make the process smoother.

• Clean the surface thoroughly to remove wax, oils and debris.
• Use a microfiber, squeegee, spray bottle with slip solution and a heat gun for shaping.
• Trim edges carefully for a seamless look and allow adhesive to set before driving.
• Seek professional help for highly contoured panels if unsure.

Will this film change the look or finish of my paint?

The clear cast film is formulated to be nearly invisible once applied and will not add a noticeable color shift or gloss change on most finishes. It preserves the original paint appearance while adding a protective layer.

• Virtually transparent after proper installation.
• Maintains original gloss and color depth of the paint below.
• Can be removed without harming the underlying paint when done correctly.
• Minor edge visibility possible on very textured or matte finishes.
