Bosch QuietCast Rear Ceramic Brake Pad Set BC1594 — OE-style, Low Dust, Quiet Stops

BOSCH QuietCast BC1594 rear ceramic brake pads are a premium OE-style replacement set engineered for quiet stops, low dust, and long service life.

Built from Bosch’s decades of braking experience, the QuietCast BC1594 combines a ceramic friction formulation with pre-attached multilayer rubber-core shims and a corrosion-resistant backing plate. This rear axle kit contains two pads per wheel position (one axle), includes available hardware and synthetic lubricant, and is designed to match fit and function for a range of Asian, domestic, and European vehicles. Verify vehicle compatibility before purchase, as trim or parking brake options can affect fit.

How do these pads reduce noise compared with standard replacements?

The BC1594 uses Bosch’s Molded Shim Technology and factory-style multilayer rubber-core shims that are pre-bonded to each pad. This engineered shim assembly dampens vibrations that cause squeal, delivering a noticeably quieter stop without extra hardware.

• Molded Shim Technology (MST) for superior rubber-to-steel bonding
• OE-style multilayer shims pre-attached for consistent performance
• Chamfers and slots that minimize edge chattering
• Powder-coated backing plate reduces radiated vibration

What kind of braking performance and dust should I expect?

The proprietary ceramic friction material is formulated for dependable stopping power while generating less brake dust than many semi-metallic compounds. You’ll get predictable bite across typical driving conditions with cleaner wheels over time.

• Ceramic compound for stable friction and low particulate output
• Engineered to balance stopping power with smooth modulation
• Reduced wheel soiling compared with higher-dust pads
• Tested by Bosch engineers for consistent performance

How durable are these pads and what protects them from corrosion?

Durability is improved through a powder-coated backing plate that resists rust and corrosion, helping the pad assembly last longer in wet or salty environments. Bosch’s manufacturing standards and precise fitment features also reduce uneven wear and premature failure.

• Powder-coated backing plate for enhanced corrosion resistance
• OE-style slotting and chamfering to promote even wear
• Pre-attached shims and quality adhesion limit delamination
• Includes lubricant to reduce sliding-point resistance and wear

What comes in the box and how easy is installation?

Each BC1594 package supplies rear pad sets for one axle (two wheels). Where applicable, Bosch includes the hardware kit and a small packet of synthetic lubricant to ease installation and improve caliper movement. Fitment follows OE-style dimensions to simplify replacement with standard tools.

• Pads for rear axle (two wheels)
• Hardware kit included when specified for the application
• Synthetic lubricant for sliding contact surfaces
• OE-style shape, slots, and chamfers for direct fit

Who is this for: The BOSCH QuietCast BC1594 rear ceramic brake pads suit owners seeking an OE-quality replacement that emphasizes quiet operation, low dust, and solid durability. They are a good choice for drivers of compatible Hyundai and Kia models (and other eligible vehicles) who want reliable braking behavior without frequent wheel cleaning, and for DIYers or technicians looking for a straightforward, OEM-style swap. Always confirm specific vehicle fitment — trim levels and electronic parking brake options can affect compatibility.
