VViViD Black Gloss Vinyl Tape 4" x 20ft — Air-Release, Repositionable Adhesive for Chrome Delete

VViViD Black Gloss Air-Release Adhesive Vinyl Tape is a 4" x 20ft high-gloss vinyl roll built for clean chrome deletes, pinstriping, and detailing with bubble-free air-release adhesive.

Whether you're masking trim, covering chrome accents, or adding a gloss stripe to a vehicle or interior surface, this roll gives you a fast, low-waste option that stays smooth over time. The tape combines a heat-activated, repositionable adhesive with air-release channels so you can squeegee out creases and get a factory-style shine without specialty tools or knifeless transfer tape.

How does this vinyl tape simplify chrome-delete and trim work?

The narrow roll format lets you precisely cover thin pieces of trim and decorative chrome without cutting large sheets. Its air-release adhesive minimizes trapped air, and the repositionable tack makes lining up edges easy before final heat activation. You’ll save time and reduce material waste compared with traditional wrap techniques.

• 4" width offers control for long or short trim pieces
• Repositionable adhesive for accurate placement
• Air-release channels cut down on bubbling and creasing
• Heat activation ensures a secure, long-lasting bond

Will the finish hold up outdoors and resist damage?

This gloss vinyl is formulated to resist scratches, grime, and environmental wear for years when applied correctly. VViViD rates the film durability at approximately 5–7 years without significant fading or cracking under normal exposures. Proper surface prep and post-application heat help maximize longevity.

• High-gloss face film resists everyday abrasion
• UV-stable materials reduce fading over time
• Scratch- and grime-resistant surface simplifies cleaning

What tools and steps are recommended for a smooth application?

Apply the tape to a clean, dry surface at moderate temperatures and use a soft squeegee to press the film from the center outward. Small heat (heat gun or infrared lamp) helps conform the tape to curves and activates the adhesive for permanent adhesion. Because the film is repositionable prior to full heat activation, you can fine-tune alignment before locking it in.

• Clean surface with isopropyl alcohol for best adhesion
• Use a felt-edge squeegee to avoid scratches
• Apply gentle heat after positioning to set the bond

Can this tape be removed or adjusted later if needed?

Before final heat activation, the adhesive is liftable and repositionable so you can correct placement without damage. After heat-setting, the bond is durable but still removable with heat and careful peeling; removal may require adhesive cleanup and slower technique on long-term installations. Always test on a small area if removal is likely.

• Repositionable during initial application window
• Heat-assisted removal possible with minimal residue
• Adhesive cleanup tools or solvents may be required

Who is this for? Detailers, DIY car enthusiasts, auto shops, and architects who need a reliable, high-gloss solution for trim work will find this VViViD tape ideal. It’s made for projects where precision, low waste, and a factory-like finish matter—especially on narrow trim, badges, and accent lines where full-sheet vinyl is inconvenient. If you want a fast, resilient way to darken chrome, add gloss accents, or protect narrow surfaces with minimal tools, this 4" x 20ft air-release roll is designed to make that work cleaner and faster.
