VViViD Black Matte Air-Release Vinyl Tape Roll 3" x 20ft — Bubble-Resistant, Repositionable Trim Wrap

VViViD Black Matte Air-Release Adhesive Vinyl Tape Roll (3 Inch x 20ft) is a peel-and-stick, bubble-resistant vinyl wrap strip designed to give a long-lasting matte black finish for trim, accents, and small surface upgrades.

This 3" x 20ft roll from VViViD delivers a textured, low-gloss appearance while the air-release adhesive channels allow smooth application without trapping bubbles. It’s engineered for vehicle trim, indoor or outdoor architectural accents, and DIY projects where a clean matte look is desired. The film combines repositionable tack during installation with a durable, grime- and scratch-resistant surface that stands up to everyday wear for years.

How does the air-release adhesive make installation easier?

The micro-channel adhesive lets trapped air escape as you smooth the film, reducing bubbles and wrinkles. You can lift and reposition the tape during fitting, then set it with pressure for a smooth bond.

• Air-release channels for bubble-free smoothing
• Repositionable tack lets you align before final adhesion
• Pressure-activated stick eliminates messy glues or primers

What surfaces and projects is this 3" roll best used for?

Its 3-inch width works well on narrow trim, moldings, bumper accents, and interior panels. It’s suitable for vehicles, cabinets, door trims, sign edging, and many DIY details where a consistent matte black stripe is needed.

• Automotive trim, mirror stalks, and spoilers
• Architectural accents like window trim and handrails
• DIY crafts, furniture edges, and signage detailing

How durable is the matte finish and how long will it last?

VViViD’s vinyl is formulated to resist scratches, dirt buildup, and fading under normal exposure. Expect multi-year performance without cracking or losing the low-gloss texture when applied and maintained properly.

• Scratch- and grime-resistant surface for easy cleaning
• UV-stable formulation resists fading over time
• Typical lifespan of several years with normal outdoor exposure

What tools and steps do I need for a clean application?

Basic tools and a clear, steady method are all you need: a squeegee or firm card, a sharp blade for trimming, and a surface cleaned of oil and dust. Heat can help conform the tape around curves but is not required for flat surfaces.

• Clean the surface with isopropyl alcohol before applying
• Use a squeegee to press and smooth outward from the center
• Trim excess with a sharp utility knife; use a heat gun for tight curves

Who is this for: This VViViD 3" x 20ft black matte air-release vinyl tape is ideal for DIY enthusiasts, detailers, and tradespeople who want a reliable, low-gloss finish for trim and small surface projects. If you need a product that installs cleanly, resists everyday wear, and provides a consistent matte look on automotive or architectural surfaces, this roll offers a practical and cost-effective solution.
