Bosch QuietCast Rear Ceramic Brake Pad Set BC1544 — Rear Axle, Low Dust & Quiet

BOSCH BC1544 QuietCast rear ceramic brake pads are a ready-to-install OE-style pad set engineered for quieter stops, low dust, and long-lasting corrosion resistance.

Built from Bosch's decades of braking experience, the QuietCast BC1544 rear pad set combines a proprietary ceramic friction compound with Molded Shim Technology (MST) and powder-coated backing plates to deliver dependable stopping performance and reduced noise for compatible Hyundai and Kia models. The package arrives complete with pads for one axle (two wheels), any applicable hardware kit, and synthetic lubricant to minimize friction at sliding contact points.

How do these pads reduce brake noise and vibration?

The BC1544 pads use Bosch's Molded Shim Technology (MST), which integrates a multi-layer rubber-core shim pre-attached to the pad. This assembly improves the bond between rubber and steel to dampen vibrations and cut down squeal compared with basic shim designs.

• Pre-attached OE-style multilayer rubber-core shims for superior vibration control
• Precision chamfers and slots that reduce uneven wear and noise triggers
• Ceramic compound tuned for quieter engagement under typical driving

What performance and durability features should I expect?

QuietCast BC1544 pads are formulated with a proprietary ceramic friction material that balances stopping power with low dust generation. Powder-coated backing plates and corrosion-resistant construction extend pad life and maintain consistent fit and function over time.

• Ceramic friction material engineered for consistent braking and minimal brake dust
• Powder-coated backing plates to resist rust and preserve structural integrity
• OE-style slots and chamfers for even wear and reliable bedding-in

Will these pads fit my vehicle and what comes in the box?

This rear pad set fits select Hyundai and Kia vehicles (verify trim and engine fitment with the vehicle-specific fit checker). Each box includes the pads for one axle—enough for two wheels—plus a hardware kit where applicable and a packet of synthetic brake lubricant to ease installation and reduce sliding resistance.

• Set includes two rear pads (one axle), hardware kit where available, and synthetic lubricant
• Compatible examples: select Hyundai Accent, Elantra, Elantra Coupe, Kia Optima, Rio model years listed by Bosch
• Always confirm fitment for your specific trim/engine with the fit checker prior to purchase

How do these compare with OE or other aftermarket pads?

Bosch QuietCast pads are designed to meet or exceed the expectations of many OE-style applications by focusing on noise control, dust reduction, and durable construction. While formulas vary by brand, QuietCast emphasizes an OE-like fit and finish with Bosch-exclusive MST and ceramic friction designed for everyday driving needs.

• OE-style fit, finish, and installation ease for direct replacement jobs
• Exclusive MST pre-attached shims for improved NVH (noise, vibration, harshness)
• Engineered ceramic compound versus semi-metallic options for less dust and quieter stops

Who is this for? Drivers who want a high-quality rear pad replacement that prioritizes quiet braking, low dust, and long-term corrosion resistance—especially owners of compatible Hyundai and Kia models seeking an OE-style upgrade without reworking their braking system. These pads suit everyday commuters and owners prioritizing ease of installation and reliable, maintenance-friendly performance.
